Come to Jesus and be Healed

Jesus cast out many demons and healed so many while he was here….

Todays scripture from the living bible is Mark 1 28-45

The news of what he had done spread quickly through that entire are of Galilee. Then leaving the synagogue, he and his disciples went over to Simon and Andrew's home, where they found Simon's mother-in-law sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away. He went to her bedside, and as he took her by the hand and helped her to sit up, the fever suddenly left, and she got up and prepared a meal for them.

By sunset the courtyard was filled with the sick and demon-possessed, brought to him for healing; and a huge crowd of people from all over the city of Capernaum gathered outside the door to watch. Jesus healed great numbers of sick folk that evening and ordered many demons to come out of their victims. (But he refused to allow the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.)

The next morning he was up long before the daybreak and went out alone in the wilderness to pray. Later, Simon and the others went out to find him, and told him, "Everyone is asking for you."

But he replied, "We must go on to other towns as well and give my message to them too, for that is why I came."

So he travelled throughout the province of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and releasing many from the power of demons. Once a leper came and knelt in from of him and begged to be healed, "If you want to, you can make me well again," he pleaded.

Jesus, moved with pity, touched him and said, "I want to. Be Healed!" Immediately the leprosy was gone–the man was healed.

Jesus then told him sternly, "Go and be examined immediately by the Jewish priest.  Dont stop to speak to anyone along the way. Take along the offering prescribed by Moses for a leper who is healed, so that everyone will have proof that you are well again."

But as the man went on his way he began to shout the good news that he was healed; as a result, such crowds  soon surrounded Jesus that he could not publicly enter a city anywhere, but had to stay out in the barren wastelands. And People from everywhere came to him there.

———————

Bring your sickness before Jesus and asked to be healed…Ask from your living faith. Believe that you will be healed. Have some expectancy that the Power of Jesus is just as available today as it was back when he healed the leper. Mark 9:23 All things are possible if you will only believe.

There are so many broken people

By sam · Comments (0)
Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Everywhere you look, no matter where you live you can find people whose lives are broken. Sometimes it is right in your face and you have to choose to engage with the brokenness of this world.

Last night I ran into a young single mom who, lets put it mildly, has serious behavioral issues and is choosing to live in the brokenness of her life. She was in dire straits and it a big argument with a couple of men, one of the men was raging, yelling and had fire in his eyes and venom coming from his lips.

The woman, crying moved away from them and I was thrown into the middle of this as when I was walking by, she ended up beside me and I guided her into a local sports pub and sat her down. She was hysterical, crying and claiming this guy hit her and was going to kill her if she said anything. So I told her to stay put and I went to notify the owner of the establishment to call the police because there was trouble.

The woman did not want us to call the police in fear of the man who hit her would definitely kill her if he think she ratted him out. While waiting for the police I asked her what she was doing with someone like that? She said he was an old boyfriend and was harrassing her. I also found out that she had been at a very nasty local drinking establishment and I asked her why would she go to a place like that and if she was a single mom, what was she doing in a place like that. Well, she justified that it had been 3 months since she had been out and away from her child.

The police came, and she refused to tell them that she had been hit, and I had not seen her get hit. It appears, from talking with the officer that all 2 of the 3 people involve have suspended liceines from drinking and driving and the woman has been in jail and has probation and restraining orders on her…go figure.

In this tiny area of the world I am in, this is one incident of most likely hundreds of thousands right here in the United States, where alcohol and drug abuse is causing massive brokenness in peoples lives…So Sad….

Lord, I ask for your Grace and Mercy in these people's lives and deliverance from their addictions. These young people are all so lost and distorted. Come Jesus Come and break the power of addiction off their lives.

The Beautiful Name of Jesus

By sam · Comments (0)
Monday, February 18th, 2008

I invite you right now to just stop and say the name "JESUS" over and over for 60 seconds….do it now!

What images came to your mind when saying his name? I had beautiful images of the face of God and his name is Jesus!

Other words immediately sprung forth when I began saying his name, …creator, friend , Lord, Master, Savior are a few that came out of my mouth as unctioned  by the Holy Spirit that lives in me.

The name of Jesus is one filled with beauty and power. Call upon his name to sooth your soul, to claim healing over sickness, to drive out demons…

Ephesians 2:4 says, But God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead–only by his undeserved favour have we ever been saved–and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms–all because of what Christ Jesus did………

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus…Thank you Lord Jesus for your sacrifice on the cross…

Acts 4:12 There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved

Through the power of the name of Jesus we now have access to God…To worship God, to love God, to fellowship with God, to be intimate with God..

Please share what you felt and what images came to your mind when you say the Beautiful Name of Jesus over and over for 60 Seconds…

Claiming the Word of God as the Authority in Your Life—Part 2

By sam · Comments (0)
Sunday, February 17th, 2008

The word of God carries mighty power that Jesus himself let us know that we would be able to walk in that same authority that Jesus had…

Let's look at Luke 10:19 in the Living Bible …. Jesus tell us (that is You and me today as it was yesterday as God's word is meant for all days)

"And I have given you Authority over all the Power of the Enemy, and to walk among serpents and scorpions and to crush them. Nothing shall injure you."

If you only believe Cross in Snow

Now lets jump over to Acts Chapter 28…Paul at this point is shipwrecked on Malta with the entire crew of over 200 men that had been heading to Rome. As God had told Paul, all men had been spared in the horrific storm that their boat had been caught up in.

Referring to the scripture above…Jesus said we have all power over the enemy and NOTHING shall injure us.

Starting in Acts chapter 28 verse 3…"As Paul gathered an armful of sticks to lay on the fire, a poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on to his hand. The People of the Island saw it hanging there and said to each other, "A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live!"

But Paul shook of the snake into the fire and was unharmed. The people waited for him to begin swelling or suddenly fall dead; but when they had waited a long time and no harm came to him, they changed their minds and decided he was a god.

Paul walked in the Authority of Christ…And Christ Promised that we would trample serpents under our feet, if we believed the word of God and walked in it's Authority that Christ has given us freely.

Jesus has already defeated death at the cross…the Enemy has already lost for those who believe. Just persevere and BELIEVE!

Part 1 of many to come on claiming the word of God as the Authority in Your life.

Life Changing Prayers to Pray everyday. I challenge you to pray these prayers everyday for the next 2 months twice a day. Please report back here what happens.

Christian Cross with LightEphesians 3 14-21

For this reason I bow my knees to the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  From Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that grant you, according to the riches of His Glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you , being rooted and grounded in love.

may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height–to know that love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all the we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen

Do not be Afraid; Only Believe —Mark 5:36

By sam · Comments (0)
Friday, February 15th, 2008

When we try to do things on our own accord and without relying on God it just doesn't seem to work well at all. Have you experienced this?

I know I have in my life…and I am tired of trying to do it on my own accord.

There is only one thing to do: Stay fully aware and always be pressing on. Pressing on and moving forward, not looking back to the past, but looking forward.

ONLY BELIEVE

come to the Place where God isGod wants us to ONLY BELIEVE…and to come to him completely and wholly..Leaving our old ways and past behind us and look to the cross. Won't you come into the place where God is?

God wants you to come to a place where you say… "GOD has said it, and it cannot fail."

Only Believe….and allow God to have absolute control of your whole situation…
