Isaiah 31 From the Living Bible
Woe to those who run to Egypt for help, trusting their mighty Calvary and chariots instead of looking to the Holy One of Israel and consulting him.
In his wisdom he will send great evil on his people and will not change his mind. He will rise against them for the evil they have done, and crush their allies too. For these Egyptians are mere men, not God. Their horses are puny flesh, not mighty spirits! When the Lord clenches his fist against them, they will stumble and fall among those they are trying to help. All will fail together.
But the Lord has told me this: When a lion, even a young one, kills a sheep, he pays no attention to the shepherd’s shout and noise. He goes right on and eats. In such manner the Lord will come and fight upon Mount Zion. He will not be frightened away! He the Lord of heaven’s armies, will hover over Jerusalem as birds hover round their nests, and he will defend the city and deliver it.
Therefore, O My people, though you are such wicked rebels, come return to God.I know the Glorious day will come when every one of you will throw away his golden idols and silver images–which in your sinfulness you have made. And the Assyrians will be destroyed, but not by the swords of men. The sword of God will smite them. They will panic and flee, and the strong young Assyrains will be taken away as slaves. Even their generals will quake with terror and flee when they see the battle flags of Israel, says the Lord. For the flame of God burns brightly in Jerusalem.

One of the Greatest things about God is his willingness to receive you just where you are at. No matter how much sin and destruction you have done in your life up to this point, when you turn away from your sin, and embrace God, he will be there with loving and open arms to take you in.
Come, Return to God….
Sin will not go unchecked forever. All this sin that is running rampant in our society will not go unchecked for ever. God maybe allowing it now, but there is a day that is coming when sin will be wiped out. All the people who have not turned from Sin, but have turned from God, will come under the mighty anger of the Lord. As it says above, When the Lord Clenches his fist against them, they will stumble and fall.
Now is the time to put down the ways of this World and Return to God. Do not think that you have done too much to anger Our God that he will not accept you. Some people have this thought that they have done too much BAD in this world to think that God will accept them. This is a lie. This is not how our God works. Yes, he will punish those who have sinned, and many will never return to the Lord and their fate awaits them.
But, you can turn from your Sin….You can turn from it now and Come back to the Lord. He will forgive you. This is what our Savior did for you and I. It is hard to comprehend the level of Sacrifice that Jesus took for you and I. But he did. Jesus is amazing and walked this earth just like you and I and saw the Sin that we faced and knew that we could NOT do it alone. No amount of Will power or anything else is going to stop Sin. Only Jesus and your willingness to truly repent and Return to God will protect you from the Evil and Sin that is becoming so pervasive today.
