O, Lord, I will praise you with all my heart, and tell everyone about the marvelous things you do. I will be glad, yes, filled with Joy because of you. I will sing your praises, O lord god above all gods.

My enemies will fall back and perish in your presence; you have vindicated me; you have endorsed my work declaring  from your throne that it is good. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked, blotting out their names forever and ever. O enemies of mine, you are doomed forever. The Lord will destroy your cities; even the memory of them will disappear.

But the Lord lives on forever; he sits upon his throne to judge justly the nations of the world. All who are oppressed may come to him. He is a refuge for them in their times of trouble. All those who know your mercy, Lord, will count on you for help, For you have never yet forsaken those who trust in you.

Oh sing out your praises to the God who lives in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds. He who avenges murder has an open hear to those who cry to him for justice. He does not ignore the prayers of men in trouble when they call to him for help.

And now, O Lord, have mercy on me; see how I suffer at the hands of those who hate me. Lord, snatch me back from the jaws of death. Save me, so that I can praise you publicly before all the people at Jerusalem’s gates and rejoice that you have rescued me.

The nations fall into the pitfalls they have dug for others; the trap they set has snapped on them. The Lord is famous for the way he punishes the wicked in their own snares!

The wicked shall be sent away to hell; this is the fate for all the nations forgetting the Lord. For the needs of other needy shall not be ignored forever; the hopes of the poor shall not always be crushed.

O Lord, arise and judge and punish the nations; don’t let them conquer you! Make them tremble in fear; put the nations in their place until at last thy know they are but puny men.

Sam’s Response.

This is not a response so to speak about today’s scripture, but something we experienced today

Today driving home from Church, there was a girl walking home in a cold snow storm without a jacket. My Daughter caught her eye to eye and knew something was wrong. She called to me to pull over quickly. My daughter Jumped out of the Car and yelled to the girl, and said “Are you all right?” The girl, cold, wet and looking distressed said “No…I am not..” Kim called to her and told her to come. Willingly the girl ran to the car and jumped in. She was freezing, her face was beat red from the whipping winds and snow. She told us she lived on Summer street, so we said we would give her a ride. It was only about a 10 minute ride but for her to walk that far in the snow, she could of been in trouble.

I was amazed at her story and why she was out in the cold with no jacket. She had walked all morning over to a friends house to ask for forgiveness. She had felt that she had done her friend wrong and the alls she wanted was forgiveness. She went on to explain how she basically ran out of her house, against her parents wishes ( or they would have been if they had been home) and without thinking about the weather conditions, she walked well over 2 miles to tell her friend that she was sorry and asked for forgiveness…The friend basically ignored her and kept playing his video games….She pleaded with him to forgive her, but he wouldn’t. Distraught, she left the house and slammed the door and said, well, if you won’t forgive me that is fine, but I am truly sorry.

She didn’t care about the external conditions of the world…She cared about her heart and being right with herself and unknowingly to her, with GOD.

This was truly amazing and an act of God’s will. And thanks to my daughter, it was our job acting in the Love of Christ, to pick her up and take her home.

I do not know what her stand with Faith is, But I stand in the gap and PRAISE YOU GOD for giving Amanda the heart of Christ and the humility to be humble and graceful in a difficult situation. May you help us to cross paths with Amanda again and may she find your love, which forgives all we do, when we ask you to forgive, you blot it out and wipe it off the slate of our lives

In Jesus’ Name we Praise you and Thank You For being in our lives.
