Life certainly has its ups and downs and there is no question that storms will arise in your life. I know this from experience of facing many storms and the choices I have made in the mist of them.
Before coming to the Lord, I usually led with anger and self defeating thoughts about myself and my situation and usually looked to bloame the world or whomever was around me as well.
Needless to say, that didn’t work to well that is for sure.
Since coming to Christ about 5 years ago, I have faced many storms in my life. I don’t think that road is going to change anytime soo, as a matter of fact, I believe as we move closer to God, the enemy will step up his attacks and do whatever he can to divert us away from looking up and looking to the Lord when we are struggling.
It is in these times, where our faith is tested and tried in the fire.
Right now, many things have gone really well for me in 2008…God has answered some major prayers in my life and there has been many victories worthy of celebrating…
But, still the storms come…recently my children have been attacked by the enemy and he is trying to move them away from God and also I believe he is trying to shake my faith…
So what do you do? What are your choices in the storms of life?
You can certainly agree that you can look at it and see doom and gloom and feel overwhelmed very easy…unless…
You make the choice to TRUST GOD! Let us not look at what is around us, the circumstances…but turn to the word of God and understand that if God is for us, then who can be against us…we can make the choice to pray and praise God in the storms and know that he is there, he is not going to let the enemy overtake us unless we let him.
Alls we have to do is turn to the Lord and praise him in the storm and keep the faith.
So what choice do you make?
There is one choice I would recommend…
Trust God with everything and look not at what is happening in the now but to what God promises for us and believe that he will see us through and make our faith stronger as we pass through the storms with an eye to the sky…
